Our Operations

The section for affective disorders operates for individuals over 18 years old. The section has a special mission regarding specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with severe affective and/or severe anxiety disorders or personality syndromes. The section also investigates and treats, to some extent, neuropsychiatric conditions in patients who already have their contact within the affective section.

In psychiatry, we are currently at the beginning of an extensive development project where we will transition to a more process-based working method based on specific diagnoses. This means, among other things, that we will further develop our working methods regarding depression treatment to ensure good and evidence-based care, and we see that you as a psychologist can play an important role here.

The Affective Treatment Unit consists of psychologists and nursing assistants. We work closely together in the team. We work with various forms of group therapy where the common base is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Our different programs aim to increase knowledge about depression and bipolar disorder and develop skills to manage and prevent symptoms and enhance quality of life. We also focus on lifestyle habits and work rehabilitation. We are located in modern facilities where inpatient care, outpatient care, and emergency care for psychiatry are gathered under one roof.

Your Mission

In your role, you will perform basic clinical work that may include:

  • Planning and conducting manual-based group therapy and contributing to the further development of the unit’s programs.
  • Conducting assessments prior to participation in group therapy and individual follow-ups.
  • Contributing with a psychological perspective and knowledge in collaboration with other professionals and the organization as a whole.
  • Providing advice and support to colleagues in complex cases.
  • Working towards evaluation and development of operations and clinical care processes.
  • Contributing to systematic quality assurance and taking responsibility for the implementation of the best available methods for assessment, investigation, and treatment within the affective section.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed psychologist. Experience in specialist psychiatry is a plus. Basic psychotherapy training in CBT is meritorious. To succeed in this role, you need to have good work capacity and collaboration skills and be service-oriented and structured. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Your Competence

You are secure, have self-awareness, and have the ability to distinguish between the personal and the professional. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes. You remain motivated and continue to work, even when obstacles arise, until projects are completed or results are achieved. In the role, you plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively within set time frames. You work well with others, are receptive, and resolve conflicts constructively. You express a positive attitude towards your work and act in accordance with decisions, goals, and guidelines made by the organization. You have the interest, will, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. You make correct assessments and priorities, weigh complex information, and show judgment in actions and decision-making.

We Offer

We offer a long-term temporary position at 100% until December 2026 with the possibility of extension. Before employment, a check will be made in the suspected and criminal record register.
